GIVEAWAY: Michele’s Story on LifeToday TV!

Those who know me well know I’m not much of a TV person. However, in the middle of my summer sabbatical, God surprised me. I packed up a small suitcase and a stomach full of nerves, jumped on a plane to Dallas, Texas, and recorded my first ever television show: LifeToday TV with James & Betty Robison.

LifeToday TV

I know, right?!

It was an amazing experience, a highlight of my summer. Not only did I get to see my friend, Sheila Walsh, but I met two amazing gentlemen who are leading faithfully and humbly in their corners of the world: Derwyn Gray & Johnathan Lee Iverson. The conversations we shared in the green room both before and after the tapings will be the type I savor and remember for a long, long time.

Now here we are two months later. And my show is set to air on LifeToday TV tomorrow. TOMORROW. Here are the details:

Monday, August 28: Michele Cushatt: The Nearness of God

A woman who has faced unimaginable physical pain talks about the presence of God during those difficult times.

As my littlest boy would say, “I have that jumpy worry feeling in my tummy.” Yes, buddy. That about sums it up. So, to add a little fun to this experience and to include YOU in the celebration, this is what I’m going to do …

A GIVEAWAY! And not just any giveaway. The biggest giveaway I’ve done to date! The prize package includes:

  • 2 copies of I Am (one for you and one for a friend!)
  • 2 I Am Scripture Cards & Easels
  • A $25 Gift Card to Barnes & Noble—so you and your friend can hang out, talk about I Am, drink coffee and SHOP!

Want a chance to win? This is what you need to do:

  • Take a picture of you watching the show! It’ll be kinda like we’re hanging out, watching TV together, and taking a selfie, yes?
  • Post that picture on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. You can say something like, “Just hanging out with my buddy Michele Cushatt, talking about her book I Am, and eating corn dogs.”
  • TAG me in your post, AND leave a comment below! This is important, so I can track you down and enter you in the drawing. Besides, I’m dying to know how much fun we had eating corn dogs.

That’s it! Make sure you watch and post no later than midnight Friday, September 1.

NOTE: For those of you who miss the schedule airing, you can always watch the interview online. Not nearly as much fun, but I’ll still enter you into the drawing.

Thanks for celebrating with me, friends. It always takes my breath away when I see evidence of God using unimaginable losses for glorious gains. But there’s no one I’d rather be breathless in the Presence of than Him.

Question: How has our God used YOUR losses for great gain? Please share a snippet of your story with us. You can leave a comment by clicking here.

  1. Yay I’m so excited to watch and bummed I didn’t know or I would have been there live in the audience. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your story and always being such an encouragement to me!

  2. Michele ~ the loss of my health has given me much, much greater dependence on God. During this time I have gained more empathy and compassion as well as a greater love for others. The word “surrender” has become huge in my life this past year and practicing surrender has given me a renewed awareness of the peace of God in my life. I can’t wait to see you on Life Today!

  3. Loved the show. Michele you are radiant. I am always so grateful to God for your words. Especially right now. I am dealing with a radical allergic reaction which has left my face a disaster. So the picture I posted on FB is not really a “selfie” but I did watch!! I keep giving copies of I Am to my friends and relatives. We just need to all be reminded of who we are because of who He is. Much love and prayers for you.
    Linda

    • Thank you, Linda! Such kind words. It’s so hard to let ourselves be seen when we feel altered or different in some way. I’m sorry to hear about your allergic reaction … sounds painful! But know that you are BEAUTIFUL, because the radiance of His presence lives in you! xox

  4. Hi Michele! Love that you were able to share your story with so many❤❤I am so going to miss seeing you this coming year at The Cowgirl Get Together❤❤but God has a plan in our quietness❤Love you and may God continue to bless you and your family in all that you do ❤❤

  5. I completely enjoyed the interview. I so appreciate your honesty in your struggles, but still allowed God to bring you closer to him in it. You are a gifted speaker and an inspiration. I needed your words today to put my own problems into perspective.

P.S. What is it you do with shoes while speaking?

    • Thank you for watching and taking the time to post a comment here, Amanda. I’m so glad in encouraged and strengthened you!

As for the shoes, in one presentation I do I ask the audience to stand up and take their shoes off, like Moses standing in the presence of God at the burning bush. Then, I tell them the only two shoes you and I wear that give us lasting security is The Presence of God and The Purpose of God. When we dress and walk in those two realities every single day, nothing will shake our faith and confidence.

  6. Saw you today on Life Today at 5:30 am. Yep, not a great sleeper anymore. Your story was new to me and so encouraged me. I don’t have a picture of me watching it, but I did see it. Would love to win!!

  9. Michele, I missed watching this since we don’t get any television channels. But I wanted you to know that I have been watching the video I Am series and am amazed by it. I already own the book, and am about 43 days in. When I finish I will probably loop back and start over, because my soul needs these truths! Thank you so much for sharing out of your pain and struggle. It is making a real difference in my life, and I’m sure in many others’ as well.

God Bless you and Life Today’s ministry! Mary
