Often described as both engaging and authentic, Michele Cushatt is a speaker and author with whom audiences easily connect. Weaving contemporary storytelling with ancient script, she awakens the mind and heart to the deeper issues of faith and real living. Michele’s own story is laced with a combination of joy and heartbreak, leaving her tendered toward those who are enduring a less-than-idyllic life. Yet, God is revealing an irony: In order to get over her stuff, she first needs to live outside herself. For that reason, Michele zealously urges listeners to forego the spurious and discover a real, authentic and genuine God—the only security which stands the test of time. Furthermore, she dares others to become a daily extension of true compassion and live with prevailing impact in our current generation.
Michele’s speaking experience includes conferences, retreats, radio interviews, writer’s groups, Bible studies and various other group events. A freelance writer, her works have appeared in magazines such as Today’s Christian Woman and Hearts At Home, and compilation books such as the Chicken Soup series. Furthermore, she has written various online articles and devotional postings, including the blog she co-founded titled The Intersection. Committed to mentoring fellow writers, Michele is the Director of the Colorado region Words For The Journey Christian Writers Guild which seeks to encourage and equip writers in the Christian market. Additionally, she is on staff with comedian and author Ken Davis and his Dynamic Communicators Workshops, traveling to conferences across the country as a trainer for those who want to become powerful and effective communicators.
More noteworthy than the above, Michele is married to Troy and is the mother of their three boys, ages 11, 14 and 16 (all of whom tirelessly endure being the subject of much of her material). In her free time, you might find Michele running the trails, scuba diving, camping or skiing with the men in her life, watching a ball game, or hiding in a quiet place with one of dozens of books she is attempting to read, all at the same time! She and her family make their home in Colorado. |
